Full day: Whales and glaciers

Navigation to Francisco Coloane Marine Park

The humpback whale is the star of this expedition. During the season, we sail to the areas where they are found within Francisco Coloane Marine Park, where every encounter depends on the animals' natural behavior and the day's conditions.

Whales may approach the boat, remain at a distance, or display various behaviors at the surface. As they are wild animals, every excursion offers a different experience.

An expedition to the heart of the Marine Park

The expedition heads south from Punta Arenas, venturing into the waters of the Strait of Magellan and the southern channels. Along the way, we traverse iconic locations such as the San Isidro Lighthouse, Cape Froward, and Francisco Coloane Marine Park—one of the most remote and fascinating settings in southern Patagonia.

The journey combines marine wildlife viewing with landscapes of mountains, fjords, and glaciers. The itinerary may be adjusted based on weather and sea conditions as well as natural wildlife behavior, giving each voyage its own unique rhythm.
