Walk alongside penguins on Isla Magdalena and observe the diverse fauna of Isla Marta
We sail daily through the Strait of Magellan to the Magdalena and Marta Islands. Magdalena Island welcomes more than 60,000 penguins each year and Marta Island is home to more than 1,500 sea lions. We begin with this unique adventure, after checking in at our office, we head to Bahía Laredo by transfer to board speedboats; for 45 minutes to Magdalena Island, where we will disembark for 1 hour with our guide to learn about the natural habitat of the Magellanic Penguins, in one of the largest colonies in South America. We continue our journey to Isla Marta to spot sea lions (if weather conditions allow), imperial cormorants and hundreds of southern gulls. Then return to the pier and Punta Arenas. We will also have the opportunity, if luck is with us, to be able to spot Southern Dolphins, Overas Dolphins and Sei Whales.
